New
England is famous for fall's bright orange & reds from our Maple
trees and for spring's maple tapping to make maple syrup. Spring
brings those warmer days and cold nights to help the sugaring
maples provide Maple Sugar Houses with the sap to make into
our wonderful New England Maple Syrup. Join us to enjoy one
of Mother Nature's finest treats first hand!
Bed
& Breakfasts Inn Mount Washington Valley, the White Mountains
of New Hampshire will host the second annual MARCH MAPLE MADNESS…
not just another inn tour.
These historic inns will offer you the opportunity
to experience a self-guided tour of the member properties. Tickets
are available from any participating Inn for only $15!
In addition to the tour of participating inns, ticket holders
will sample maple treats both savory and sweet and have the
opportunity to participate in the judging of each inn's Open
Door decorations.
As you continue your drive you can learn about "sugaring" at
maple sugar houses and visit participating shops and vendors,
"Maple Country Partners" along the way. However, the truly adventurous
at heart may opt to do the Maple Madness March… a cross between
a road rally, scavenger or rather "sapenger" hunt, and reality
survivor program.
The
Maple Madness March offers the more daring participants the
opportunity to gather points toward winning prizes as they travel
a specific tour route guided by directions "riddles with clues".
Along the way you must seek answers to questions, gather objects,
and artifacts as well as visit each participating Inn and Maple
Country Partner. Bring along your digital camera, Polaroid,
or video camera for bonus photo ops!
The ticket holder who accomplishes every dictate
on the Maple Madness March and scores the most points will win
a $200 gift certificate good toward a two night stay at any
participating Inn, and other goodies provided by the Inns and
Maple Country Partners.

The
complete Maple Madness March contest forms will
be reviewed by a panel of
judges of dubious qualifications. Their opinion
is meaningless but final.

Ticket
holders who choose to simply enjoy the spectacular country side
in early spring, tour historic inns, sample maple treats, appreciate
seasonal decorations, and return home with a collection of maple
recipes and fond memories without deciphering questionable quips
may do so by following the easy to read map in the souvenir
March Maple Madness booklet.
The
March will stretch around the Presidential Mountain range with
inns opening their doors to maple lovers everywhere. Tap into
the fun of the Inaugural March Maple Madness, Inn to Inn Maple
Tour.
